Quality Play for All Receives Grant

Junction City, KS, 01-17-18Quality Play for All, a nonprofit organization focused on improving the parks and outdoor spaces in Junction City, Kansas, is pleased to announce it has been awarded a $188,244 Community Improvement Grant through the Kansas Small Cities Community Development Block Grant program. The organization received notification of the successful award in a letter from the Governor, Sam Brownback. These funds will support the renovation of Playground Park and will be used on new playground equipment.

 

The playground equipment at the 5th Street Playground Park in Junction City is outdated and in need of repair.  These funds will be used, in conjunction with other donated funds, to renovate the park with brand new playground equipment.  The goal is to have this equipment installed in 2018 with the first piece of new equipment installed before the start of summer.
